Volleyball Set to Face Le Moyne in Season Finale

Erie, Pa. – The Mercyhurst Lakers Volleyball team will wrap up their season at home against Le Moyne College on Friday and Saturday. Both teams are looking to end their seasons on a positive note after challenging campaigns. The match is set to begin at 6:00 PM on Friday and 1:00 PM on Saturday at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. 

Laker Outlook 

Mercyhurst enters the match with a 3-19 overall record and a 2-10 mark in NEC play. Paige Miller has been a consistent force on offense, leading the team with 193 kills, averaging 2.57 kills per set. Setter Alia Mastromatteo has recorded 275 assists, supporting the Lakers' attack, while Kaitlin Murphy leads the defense at the net with 40 blocks this season. Kelsie Gaiter-Davis has anchored the back row, posting a team-high 208 digs, as the Lakers aim to improve on their .135 hitting percentage. 

A Look at Le Moyne 

Le Moyne comes into the season finale with a 4-20 overall record, including a 3-9 record in conference play. The Dolphins' offense is led by Jordyn Hamlin, who has posted 161 kills, averaging 2.01 kills per set. Branwyn Lupton has contributed with 159 kills, while setter Haley Gerken directs the offense with 369 assists, averaging 4.5 assists per set. 

On defense, Anaya Rawlinson leads the Dolphins in blocks with 48 total blocks, while Brooke Menke has contributed 204 digs to bolster their back row. Le Moyne averages 1.93 service aces per set, a strength they will look to capitalize on against the Lakers.
