Erie, Pa.- After a 7-6 year in 2023-2024, the Mercyhurst Wrestling team is set to make their debut in Division I. The Lakers released their schedule as they prepare to make the jump.

Mercyhurst will face a different season they've ever seen before with every competition being on the road. They open their season two hours south of Erie in Clarion, Pa., where they'll compete in the Clarion Open on Sunday, November 3
rd.

From there, the Lakers will compete in back-to-back competitions in Ohio to cap off November. First, they'll travel to Cleveland for the Ohio Intercollegiate Open on Sunday, November 10
th before they make the trip to Findlay for the Findlay Open on Saturday, November 16
th.

The Lakers return to Cleveland for their lone December competition on Saturday, November 7
th when they compete in the Cleveland State Open. They don't return to the mats for a little over a month after they wrap up in Cleveland.

In January, Mercyhurst hits the road once again for two more competitions. They'll first travel west to Alliance, Oh. for the Purple Raider Open on Sunday, January 19
th. On Sunday, November 26
th, Head Coach
Mike Wehler and Co. travel to Jamestown, NY. for the Jamestown Community College Open.

The Lakers finish their season up in February with trips to Edinboro and Cleveland. They'll make the 30 minute drive to Edinboro on Saturday, February 1
st before closing the season out with one last ride to Cleveland to compete in the John Carroll Open on Sunday, February 16
th.
