Box Score Erie, Pa.- The Mercyhurst Women's Soccer fell 2-0 against NEC foe, Wagner, at home on Senior Day. The Lakers have now dropped two straight home games.
How it Happened
Mercyhurst honored their seniors before the day's contest as they have just two home games left. Wagner, however, played spoiler. The Seahawks managed to record 13 shots in the first half, and one of them bulleted past Senior goalie
Kate Costantini. Deirdre Meberg got the Seahawks on the board just 12 minutes into action. The Lakers had just one shot on goal in the first half. The
Seahawks dominated the second half when it came to possession. They managed just seven shots in the half, but Kayla Barbosa made it count. She gave Wagner a little insurance as they entered the final stretch of the game. Costantini managed to record 11 saves in her first start at home since her shutout against UMBC.
