Youngstown, Oh.- The Mercyhurst Women's Bowling team made the trip to Youngstown for the Penguin Classic this weekend, where they placed 11^th in the competition. This was the Lakers first of ten straight road competitions.
 
How it Happened
The Lakers opened up the the bracket portion of the tournament against Morgan State, who they defeated five games to none. The Lakers had a score 222 in the second frame, which they won 222-166. The Lakers moved on to face Central Missouri four games to one.

Mackensie Livingston finished 40th with a 185.4 average. Senior Delaney Whitehead had the second highest individual finish for Mercyhurst, as she finished 58^th with an average score 178.75. Sophomore Delaney Rossette and Junior Nikki Lemponen finished 72^nd and 73^rd with average scores of 184.67 and 181.33, respectively. The Lakers finished the weekend with a 5-8 record.

The Lakers travel to Kutztown for the Golden Bear Invitational next Saturday, October 19^th.
