History Lesson
This will be the first matchup between the Lakers and Kutztown since 2019. In that matchup the Lakers won the match 3-0. The Lakers lead the all-time series against Kutztown 8-4 and are currently on a three-game winning streak against them. This will be the third meeting all time for the Lakers and Bloomsburg and will also be the first time that the Lakers have played Bloomsburg since 2019. The Lakers lead the all-time series 2-0.

Flashback
The Lakers were in Canton, Ohio this past weekend for matches with Malone and Frostburg State on Friday and matches with Fairmont State and Walsh on Saturday. In Fridays matches, the Lakers went 1-1, losing to Malone but turning around and beating Frostburg State in five sets for their first win of the season. On Saturday the Lakers couldn't find that same success, losing in three sets to both Fairmont State and Walsh.

Individual Success
Brielle Sterns, Kate Hennessy, and Andrea Zaric found a ton of openings to put points on the board for the Lakers. All three led the team in kills at some point throughout the weekend. Kaitlin Murphy found herself at the net blocking spikes all weekend. Alexa Mitchell and Paige Miller were setting up their teammates constantly.

Kate Hennessy is leading the way for the Lakers in kills with 16 kills, with Andrea Zaric not too far behind with 51. Kaitlin Murphy is not too far behind with 34. Paige Miller leads the team in digs with 85. Alexa Mitchell is first on the team in assists with 132 and service aces with 11.

Kutztown is off to a 5-3 start this season and is currently on a three-game winning streak. Bloomsburg is off to a 1-6 start but is 1-1 in their last two games.
The first game on Saturday is the Lakers taking on Kutztown at 10 AM. Following that the Lakers have a break before they take on Bloomsburg at 3 PM.
