Erie, Pa. - After having two wrestlers named All-Americans a season ago, Mercyhurst Wrestling looks to keep their foothold as one of the better programs in the country. With Mike Wehler at the helm for his 16th season, the Lakers release their schedule for the new year.

Mercyhurst begins its season inside its friendly confines with West Liberty coming to town on November 9th at 7:00 p.m. before a long string of events away from Erie. After their bout with the Hilltoppers, the team competes in the Ohio Intercollegiate Open hosted by Case Western on November 12th followed by the Findlay Open on the 18th.

The Lakers open December in the Lake Erie Tri Meet at Lake Erie where they'll see both the Storm and Fairmont State on the 2nd. Ashland is up next with the two teams set to meet on the 6th at 7:00 p.m. at Ashland. From there, Mercyhurst competes in one of their bigger events of the season with the Midwest Classic set for the 16th and 17th of December in Indianapolis, In. before turning the page on 2023.

Coach Wehler's crew returns to the mat on January 12th when they see Findlay on the road at 7:00 p.m. before turning their attention to the PSAC portion of their schedule. The Lakers begin conference play with Millersville on January 19th before the Shippensburg Duals the following day. Mercyhurst then returns home for just the second time on the year as they host Kutztown on January 26th before closing out the month on the 27th with East Stroudsburg.

February sees three matches with Seton Hill to start on the 3rd at 7:00 p.m. on the road. A pair of home contests follows as Mercyhurst is set to host UPJ on the 9th at 7:00 p.m. before hosting their cross-town rivals, Gannon, on the 16th to wrap up the regular season portion of their schedule. After that, the team then set their sights on the NCAA Regionals on March 2nd, hosted by Kutztown.
