PAINESVILLE, Oh. - The Men's Lacrosse team took a quick road trip to Lake Erie College to face the Storm.
The Lakers took the road game, 14-12.
Quarter One
The Storm struck first at 14:45, but Shawn Doran struck back right on the faceoff to tie the game back up.
Lake Erie put another one in the net, and Myles Hamm retaliated with an unassisted goal at 11:04.
The Storm put two more on the board to bring the score to 2-4.
Myles Hamm netted his second of the game at 3:10 on a man-up opportunity. Nicholas Mabe tallied the apple.
Doran won five faceoffs, and the team was perfect on their clears.
The score going into the second was 3-4.
Quarter Two
At 9:28 in the second, Braden McCard squared the game up at four.
Colin Tardif passed the ball to Jérémi Phoenix-Lefebvre to take the lead for the first time at 6:51.
Lake Erie tied it back up at five at 5:25.
Antonio Rosetti had other ideas and snagged the lead back at 4:17.
The Lakers earned nine ground balls and were once again perfect on their clears.
The score going into the locker rooms was in favor of the Lakers, 6-5.
Quarter Three
Quinn Simonson started off the third quarter right with a goal at 14:26.
The Storm brought the lead back to one with a goal at 11:54.
Some more back-and-forth action happened as Hamm earned his hat trick at 10:02.
Two late goals by Lake Erie brought the game to a tie at eight.
The team was 5-1 on the faceoff and recovered nine ground balls.
Quarter Four
Doran did it again and scored right off the opening faceoff.
The Storm retaliated to keep the game tied at nine.
Hamm was determined, and scored his fourth of the game at 12:59. He was assisted by Phoenix-Lefebvre.
Casey Scott dumped one in the net to make the score 11-9 at 9:48. Ethan Landymore was put on the board with the assist.
Less than a minute later Lake Erie scored.
McCard passed the ball to Tardif to net the 12th of the game at 6:01.
Myles Hamm tallied five under his name with another at 5:22.
Simonson claimed his second goal and Landymore his second assist at 4:45.
The Storm was able to get two more on the board to bring the score to 14-12.
The team picked up ten ground balls and won six faceoffs.
