Men's Lacrosse Drops to Seton Hill

GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Lakers faced the Seton Hill Griffins today, Apr. 15, 2023.

The Lakers dropped the contest 8-11.

Quarter One

The Griffins capitalized on the first three of the game.

Ethan Landymore netted the first one for the Lakers at 5:12. Colin Tardif was on the assist. 

The Griffins put another on the board to close out the quarter, 1-4. 

The Lakers had six of each ground balls and clears.

Quarter Two

The Griffins scored the only two goals of the quarter. 

The Lakers were 100% on their faceoffs and recovered six ground balls.

Quarter Three

The Griffins scored the first of the quarter, but the Lakers went on a streak. Steven Morley, Jeremi Phoenix Lefebvre, and Nicholas Mabe scored three unanswered to put the score at 4-7.

The Griffins earned another, but Tardif placed one in the net at 2:17 on a man-up opportunity.

The score was 5-9 going into the fourth. 

Brett Olney made six saves in the quarter.

Quarter Four

The Griffins once again opened up scoring this quarter, but the Lakers went on to score three more unanswered goals. Casey Scott, Landymore, and Myles Hamm earned the points for the team. 

The Griffins snuck one more in at the end to take the game, 8-11.

The team won 4-2 faceoffs and recovered eight ground balls.

Highlights

Nicholas Mabe and Ethan Landymore each had three points.

On the Horizon

The Lakers will head to Lake Erie to face the Storm on Wednesday, Apr. 18, 2023.
