ERIE, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Women's Lacrosse team hosted the D'Youville Saints this afternoon, Mar. 4, 2023. 

The Lakers dominated winning, 20-14.

Quarter One

The Lakers were able to capitalize on five goals throughout the quarter. Meghan Nasman and Victoria Gottroff both netted two, while Maggie Newton earned one. 

The Lakers recovered 8-12 ground balls and had a draw control percentage of 80%.

Quarter Two

A Handful of Lakers scored goals to bring the quarter score to 11-9. Gabby McGinn, Newton, Gottorff, and Nasman all had three points by the end of the 15 minutes.

The team had 13 shots on goal and nine draw controls.

Quarter Three

The Lakers capitalized on five more goals. McGinn was now leading the team in points with seven after the quarter. 

The Lakers claimed three draw controls and seven ground balls. AJ Jameson allowed no goals to go into the net this quarter.

The score going into the final quarter was 16-9. 

Quarter Four

Kiera Boettcher allowed the team to eclipse 20 goals in the fourth quarter. There were a total of four scored.  

The Lakers earned four draw controls and had a single free-position goal.

Morgan Nasman and Maggie Newton had hat tricks.

The Lakers were 15-18 on clears.
