• 2023 PSAC West Second Team

2023: Was named to the PSAC West Second Team. Played 15 of the team's games, starting all but one of them. Led the team in goals for the second straight season with 44 while adding 13 assists and 29 ground balls to her line. Became the first Laker to have 40 or more goals and 10 or more assists in back-to-back seasons since the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Scored at least one goal in each of her games with 12 games of two or more goals with five of those games coming in a row to close out the season. She set a new career-high for goals in a game on 4/26/23 against Gannon in a game in which she found the back of the net seven times.

2022: Came in and started all 20 games as a freshman, led the team with 41 goals to go along with 19 assists. Picked up 23 groundballs and caused 12 turnovers. Was named the PSAC West Athlete of the week once. Led the team with 50 draw controls. She scored goals in 17 games, 14 of those beng multi-goal performances. She scored a season high six goals against D'Youville on 3/2.

Major: Exercise Science

Prior to Mercyhurst: Was a multi-sport athlete at Skaneateles High School participating in lacrosse, soccer, tennis and basketball.  On the field she was named captain of the lacrosse team as well as earning First Team All-American honors.  

Personal: Daughter of Andy and Kristi Newton ... Has two siblings, Drew and Molly.
