MANHEIM, Pa.—The NWCA named Jake Niffenegger Super Region One Rookie of the Year on Wednesday.
 
Niffenegger posted a record of 25-9 during his freshman season. He was the Super Region One champion at 141 lbs. qualifying him for nationals. At the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championship, Niffenegger earned a seventh-place finish and All-American accolades. 
 
The Cinicinatti native was also named the PSAC Rookie of the Year earlier this month.
