Rochester, N.Y. - Women's Hockey headed north to take on the Tigers of RIT.

The Lakers tied with the Tigers, 1-1. The single point from a tie boosts the Lakers into second place in the CHA.

How it Happened

First Period

The first period saw no goals as both teams battled. Ena Nystrøm was strong in net stopping ten shots on goal. The team collectively blocked five pucks.

Second Period

With only 1:16 off the clock, Thea Johansson bounced the puck off the goaltender's pad and dumped the puck in the net. Jordan Mortlock grabbed the apple.

Third Period

The Tigers tried to even it up at 4:15, but there was an interference call. The Lakers still had the lead, 1-0. 

RIT was finally able to capitalize on a point at 12:27.

At 16:37, there was another questionable goal by the Tigers, but it went in favor of the Lakers. The score was still square at one.

Overtime

No goals were scored in overtime, forcing a league tie. The Lakers had seven shots on net against the Tigers one.

Both teams earned a point after the tie today. The Lakers now have a one point advantage against Syracuse with 14. This earns them second place in the CHA. 

The top four teams in the CHA will head into the playoffs. The Semi finals will be best-of-three with the top seeds hosting. 

The 2023 CHA Championship will be held on either March 3 or 4, 2023 with it being a single game.
