11/14/2023 11:00:00 AM

Erie, Pa. - The Lakers move deeper into the month of November and prepare for a full slate with three games in the new week. Mercyhurst plays their first home game of the season gainst Daemen on Wednesday, November 15th, before going back out on the road as they go to Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday followed by a bout with D'Youville the following day.

A Look Back

The Lakers played two games this past weekend at Clarion with the team coming away with wins in both. They began with Frostburg State with Mercyhurst having their best offensive performance of the season to this point in that game, winning 99-82. They followed that up with a come-from-behind-win over Bluefield State that proved to be a tightly contested game down the stretch, 64-61.

Scouting the Wildcats

Daemen comes into the matchup looking for some revenge against the Lakers as Mercyhurst managed to beat them in a last-second shot from Michael Bradley a season ago in the team's season opener. The Wildcats are 3-2 to this point in the season with wins in each of their last two games, beating Chestnut Hill and Godley-Beacom. The team brings balanced offensive attack into the game as four players are averaging double-digit points right nor with Dylan Fasoyiro leading the way with 14.4.

Scouting Roberts Wesleyan

The Redhwaks are just 1-1 to this point in the season, playing their first two games of the year this past weekend. They ended dup falling to Goldey-Beacom in a high-scoring , 113-109 final before taking the 81-75 win over Chestnut Hill. Much like Daemen, th Rehakws have not relied on any one person to do all the heavy lifting on offense as they have four players averaging 10 points or more.

Scouting D'Youville

The Saints began their season not quite the way they wanted to as they have fallen in each of their first two contests. D'Youville has one more game to go until their bout with the Lakers as they see Wheeling today at 7:00 p.m. before hosting the Lakers. So far this season, D'Youville's defense has found it tough sledding against their opponents as they hav allowed 107.5 points per game, having teams shoot 57% from the floor, giving Mercyhurst some hope they can get plenty of open looks near the rim.

Next Game

Mercyhurst will have some time off before their next contest as they do not play again in the month of November. The team will go on the road to see East Stroudsburg on Friday, December 1st, before a bout with Kutztown the following day at 3:00 p.m. on the road.
