Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Volleyball team prepares for two PSAC matchups this week as they travel to Edinboro on Tuesday for a match starting at 6 PM, followed by a matchup with crosstown rival Gannon on Saturday starting at 7 PM. 

History Lesson 

Edinboro swept the season series against the Lakers a season ago, winning 3-0 in the first matchup and 3-1 in the second. Gannon swept the season series as well, winning 3-1 in the first matchup and 3-0 in the second.  

Flashback 

This past weekend the Lakers hosted UPJ and Clarion on Friday and Saturday. UPJ won 3-1 over the Lakers. The Lakers won the first set over UPJ but couldn't find the same success in the next three sets. In the game Paige Miller led the Lakers in kills with 11. Alexa Mitchell notched two service aces, while also adding 29 assists. Maggie Thomas added three blocks. Corinne Bechtold had 17 digs. Clarion won 3-0 over the Lakers. In the game Kate Hennessy led the Lakers in kills with 11. Hennessy and Kaitlin Murphy each had a service ace. Alexa Mitchell had two blocks and added 23 assists. Paige Miller had 10 digs.
