Slippery Rock, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Men's Soccer team was on the road for the final time in the regular season as they traveled to Slippery Rock. The Lakers scored early and late in the game for a 2-0 win. The Lakers improved to 13-2-1 (6-2-1) on the season.  

How it Happened 

The Lakers took a 1-0 lead just three minutes into the game. Jonathan Chase gave the Lakers the lead with his second goal of the season. The Lakers kept the pressure on Slippery Rock with shots on goal, but the Lakers couldn't get anything to go. At the half the Lakers held a 1-0 lead.  

The Lakers held that 1-0 lead through the majority of the second half. Late in the game the Lakers added one more as Julius Becker was awarded a penalty kick and he made the most of it by finding the back of the net.  

Highlights 

Jonathan Chase scored his second goal of the season. 

Julius Becker scored his first goal of the season. 

Jamie Tedaldi saved the only shot he faced and got the win as the goaltender.
