Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Men's Soccer team looked to get back in the win column as they hosted fellow PSAC member Seton Hill. A late goal in the second half saw Seton Hill get the upset win over the Lakers 1-0.  

How it Happened 

The Lakers came out and immediately put pressure on the Seton Hill goaltender as Frank Lovett put a shot on goal. The Lakers had an opportunity to score first as Lockie Fay, Jorge Tallada Torres, and Dylan Sumner all put shots on goal within seconds of each other but couldn't get one to go. The game stayed scoreless going into halftime.  

The second half started with the only action on the stat sheet coming from the Lakers, as they put five shots on goal within a couple of minutes. Midway through the second half, Seton Hill put a couple of shots up but nothing on net. With under five minutes to go in the game, Seton Hill took the lead as Brice Gandhi found the back of the net and gave Seton Hill a 1-0 lead. The Lakers, with a sense of urgency, went down the field and put two shots on goal but couldn't convert either attempt and Seton Hill came away with an upset win. 

Next Up 

The Lakers will look for a bounce back performance as they travel to UPJ on Wednesday. Kick-off for the game is set for 3 PM.
