WATERBURY, Conn. - The Women's Hockey team faced Post University today at 1:00 p.m.
The Lakers won the game 13-0, with many players scoring multiple points.
The last time the team scored 10+ was in 2013 against Lindenwood.
The 13 goals also ties for second place on the CHA single-game goals list. The Lakers also hold first place.
How it Happened
First Period
Liliane Perreault scored the first of the game, which was short-handed, at 4:31. Megan McKay was on the assist.
Moments Later, at 6:50, Grace Nelles scored her first goal of the season. This goal was also a powerplay goal. McKay and Alexandria Weiss were there to help.
Second Period
Nelles claimed her second powerplay goal of the game at 1:31 in the second. Perreault and Kylee Mahoney passed the puck.
Alyssa Kawa was not even a minute behind posting a goal at 1:58. Sami Gendron and Marielle Parks tallied the assists.
Chantal Ste-Croix followed and sunk a powerplay goal into the net at 5:26. Assisted by Vanessa Upson and Mary Sweetapple.
Vanessa Upson wanted a powerplay goal of her own and found the net at 10:50. Sweetapple and Sydney Pedersen grabbed the apples.
Perreault tallied another point at 17:24, this time a powerplay goal. McKay and Weiss were on the assists.
Third Period
Immediately in the third, at 00:38, McKay makes it 8-0. Thea Johansson and Sara Boucher passed the puck.
Parks earned a goal at 3:18 from Pedersen and McKay.
Upson grabbed goal number two at 4:05. Johansson and Boucher were the assists.
Johansson had her luck with a crossbar leading to a goal at 8:00. Gendron passed her the puck.
Perreault scored her hat trick at 8:28. Nelles and Aubrey Cole had the assist points.
Mahoney scored the final goal at 18:30. Perreault and Nelles assisted.
