ERIE, Pa. - Women's Hockey Hosted the Syracuse Orange this afternoon, Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023.
The Lakers dominated, taking the game 6-1.
Sara Boucher grabbed five points on the night, four of those being goals. The Last time a Laker scored four goals was back in 2019.
How it Happened
First Period
Boucher was quick on the ice and netted the first goal of the game at 8:24.
The Orange came back at 14:52 to tie the game, 1-1.
Second Period
Boucher tipped it in through the Orange and scored second goal of the game. Sydney Pedersen and Alexandria Weiss claimed the apples at 1:44.
Thea Johansson had the puck deep in the Orange's zone and broke away, and scored a goal at 4:23. Boucher claimed her third point of the day on the assist.
Nystrøm found herself facing a single Syracuse player to make a major save late in the second.
Kylee Mahoney went around the goaltender and snuck the puck in on the side at 15:55. Sydney Pedersen was there to pass the puck.
Third Period
Hats came off at 15:34 when Boucher netted her third goal. Thea Johansson earned an apple.
At 17:41, Boucher scored her fourth of the game, bringing the score to 6-1. Vanessa Upson helped on the short-hander.
