Winthrop, Mass.—Atlantic Hockey announced the results of their annual preseason coaches' poll. The Lakers season ended in the AHA Semifinals a season ago, the Lakers have been ranked seventh in the preseason conference poll.

Last season the Lakers finished 16-19-4 along with a 10-12-4 conference record. Of their final ten regular season games, the Lakers won seven of them to secure home ice in the first round of the playoffs. After a pair of 2-1 wins over Holy Cross the Lakers advanced to the AHA Quarterfinals. With a 2-1 and a 3-1 win over Canisius the Lakers traveled to Utica, N.Y. for the AHA Final Four. Mercyhurst fell to AIC who went on to win their third straight AHA Championship.

The Lakers open their season at home against No. 16 Ohio State on Oct. 1 and 2 for homecoming. Tickets are still available through a flex plan or individual game tickets are also available at hurstathletics.com/tickets.
