South Bend, IN—The Mercyhurst Men's Cross Country team participated in the National Catholic Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.
In their second event of the season the Lakers finished 12th at the event with a team score of 317. After having a top five finish to open his season, Alec Bidwell was the first Laker to finish with a time of 27:13.3. Landon Owens was the second Laker to finish the five mile race with a time of 27:30.5. In his second collegiate event Evan Haemmerle finished with a time of 27:50.4. Nathan Nelson and Ryan Cawley were the final two Lakers to have their scores counted towards the team standings.
Mercyhurst is back on the course next Saturday as they travel to Rochester for the Harry F. Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan.
