ERIE, Pa. - The Women's Hockey team took on the RIT Tigers tonight, Dec. 2, 2022.
The Lakers came out on top 7-1.
How it Happened
First Period
Vanessa Upson dumped the puck into the net with 29 seconds off the clock. Thea Johansson and Sydney Pedersen Helped out
Johansson found the net at 2:20. Sara Boucher and Upson claimed the assists.
Marielle Parks was able to capitalize on the opening at 3:32 and brought the score to 3-0. Sami Gendron and Alexandria Weiss earned the assits.
Boucher lit the lamp with an unassisted goal at a time of 14:10.
Chantal Ste-Croix had a stunning backhand goal to score the fifth goal of the game. Jordan Mortlock claimed the assist at 16:42.
Second Period
Ena Nystrøm saved three shots while the Laker defense blocked nine shots in the period.
Third Period
Boucher saw the net again at 9:42, she was unassisted once again.
Boucher claimed her second hat trick of the weekend with a goal at 15:00 with the help of Megan McKay and Alexandria Weiss. The score was now 7-0.
The Tigers found the net for a lone goal at 15:38.
