Kutztown, Pa.—The No. 7/9 Men's Basketball team utilized a second-half rally to win 79-71 at Kutztown Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened
Michael Bradley opened the scoring at 18:54 with a layup and a foul shot to give the Lakers a 3-0 lead, and Mercyhurst appeared to be off to the races. They built their lead to 10 after a three-pointer from MiyKah McIntosh at 13:42, but the defense began to stall as Kutztown cut into the lead and eventually took the lead.
The Golden Bears finished the first half ahead 31-30. Similar to Mercyhurst in the first half, the Golden Bears then grew their lead to 13 points at 10:34 in the second half before Mercyhurst began to climb back.
An 11-point run from the Lakers helped them flip the lead at 3:39, and the team made the most of their free throws in the final minute (7-for-8) to hold onto their lead.

Aidan Reichert led the Lakers with 21 points in the win, making 10 of 11 shots from the floor and adding a free-throw. McIntosh (14 points), Steve Cannady (11) and Jeff Planutis (10) also finished in the double-digits.
