The Mercyhurst University Field Hockey team dropped a 5-1 decision to host Franklin Pierce Friday afternoon in non-conference action.

Franklin Pierce started the scoring 6:15 into the opening quarter. The Ravens would rally and score an additional two tallies making the score 3-0 after one.

Sophomore forward Jenna Cavalieri put the Lakers on the board 4:23 into the second stanza. Cavalieri received a pass in the middle of the box from Sarah Vosburgh and hammered home a one time shot to move the score to 3-1. 

Franklin Pierce would go on to score another goal in the 2nd quarter making the 4-1 going into the halftime break. The Ravens added their 5th and final marker 7:23 into the second half.

Mercyhurst will travel to Massachusetts to take on Stonehill College. The match will begin at 12:00 p.m.
