Field Hockey Travels to New England for Two Upcoming Games.

Erie, PA -- After playing four games in the span of six days last week, the Mercyhurst Field Hockey team will be in action on Friday and Sunday.

First, the Lakers will make the trip up to Rindge, N.H.to take on the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University. Mercyhurst will then travel to North Easton, Mass. to match up with Stonehill College.
Friday's game will begin at 4:00 p.m. The Stonehill game will take place at noon on Sunday.

Unfamiliar Foes

The Lakers and Ravens will meet for the first time ever on Friday. Stonehill College has played Mercyhurst just once back in 2003. That lone match up resulted in a 4-0 Stonehill victory.

Scouting Franklin Pierce

Franklin Pierce has started their season with an 0-4 record. The Ravens have had two close contests losing 3-2 to American International, and 3-2 against Southern Connecticut.

Scouting Stonehill

Stonehill is currently ranked 8th in the most recent Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll. The Skyhawks hold a 3-1 record, they have posted wins against #2 East Stroudsburg, and #3 Saint Anselm.
