Keeping it CleanÂ
The Lakers are one of the least penalized teams in the PSAC. They rank second in the conference and 51st in the nation with just 6.2 penalties per game.
Punt, Pass and KickÂ
Brian Alsobrooks has had a strong start kicking the football this season. He is 6-for-6 on field goals am and ranks 12th in field goals per game. He averaged 37.7 yards per punt on the season the sixth best mark in the PSAC. Alsobrooks has also taken a few snaps at quarterback going 10-of-17 for 70 yards.
Tough Opening ScheduleÂ
The Lakers have had a tough start to PSAC play. Mercyhurst four PSAC opponents have combined for a 15-4 overall record.Â
Piling Up the TacklesÂ
The linebacker duo of
Jacob Holl and
Thomas Zacharyasz have led the Mercyhurst defense. The pair are currently tied for ninth in the PSAC averaging 8.2 tackles per contest. Zacharyasz also averages 4.2 solo stops per game to rank 15th in the conference. Holl has 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
Schaetzle's Final SeasonÂ
Marty Schaetzle announced that he would retire at the end of the season. In his 20th season, Schaetzle has led the Lakers in two conferences and one PSAC title. Assistant Head Coach

Through the AirÂ
All four Laker touchdowns this season have come through the air. Mercyhurst has spread the ball with 17 different players recording a catch.

Scouting the GriffinsÂ
Seton Hill enters Saturday's contest with a 2-3 overall record and 0-2 mark in PSAC West play after a 17-7 loss to Edinboro. The Griffins average 11.2 points per game. Logan Wiladn leads the rushing attack with 440 yards on 88 carries and two touchdowns. Chris Jones has passed for 547 yards and one score as well as eight interceptions. Taro Gaither is the Griffins top receiving target hauling in 21 catches for 276 yards. Jaylen McDuffie leads the Seton Hill defense with 48 tackles, 24 solo and 4.5 for loss. Narrio Walks adds 44 tackles, 30 of them solo. Dioh Desuah has been a disruptive force recording six tackles for loss including a pair of sacks among his 19 tackles.
