Box Score ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's hockey team fell 3-0 to visiting Canisius Sunday afternoon at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
Keaton Mastrodonato put the Griffins on the board first with a goal 6:41 into the first period. The Lakers recorded 15 shots in the first, but couldn't find the back of the net.
Canisius extended the lead with a power-play goal in the second and set the final with an empty-net goal in the third.
Laker goalie Hank Johnson made 30 saves taking the loss between the pipes. Michael Bevilacqua paced the Lakers with four shots on goal while Carson Briere tallied three.
The Lakers are back in action on Friday when they host Air Force at 5 p.m. at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
