Women's Ice Hockey Falls 3-2 at Lindenwood

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. –The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team fell 3-2 at Lindenwood during College Hockey America action on Friday.
 
Alexandria Weiss and Summer-Rae Dobson scored while Michele Robillard had two assists and K.K. Thiessen and Megan Korzack had one assist for Mercyhurst (14-9-4, 8-3-2).
 
Lauren Dabrowski, Jada Burke and Sierra Burt scored for Lindenwood (5-18-3, 3-10-0).
 
Lindenwood took an early 1-0 lead with a goal from Dabrowski 1:01 into the first period.
 
During the second period, Weiss tied the game up at 1-1 with a rocket from above the face-off circle. Robillard and Thiessen tallied assist.
 
Lindenwood took the lead back a little over halfway through the second period.
 
Dobson then scored on the power play to tie the game at 2-2. Robillard passed it over to Korzack who slid it across ice to Dobson who was wide open in front of the net.
 
Two minutes into the third period, Burt scored for Lindenwood to make it 3-2.
 
Kennedy Blair made 19 saves in net for Mercyhurst while Annika Asplundh made 30 saves for Lindenwood.
 
The Lakers went 1-for-4 on the power play while the Lions were 0-for-2.
 
Both teams are back in action Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CT (2:00 p.m. EST).
