GREENSBURG, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst women's bowling team went 3-2 for its best finished in program history, winning third place at the Br. Patrick Lacey Memorial Tournament on Sunday.

Mercyhurst had a 152.6 game average with a total of 3,816 pins in five traditional matches.

Haley Youker led the tournament and earned first place with a 186.80 average and 934 pins. She earned a spot on the All-Tournament team for the fifth time this season and was named the Most Valuable Player for the fourth team.

Samantha Schurr was next for the Lakers in ninth place with 781 total pins and a 156.20 average. Samantha Strebel was next with a 150.60 average and 753 total pins and 12th place. Anica Akin came in 15th with a 145.00 game average and 725 total pins. Andrea Fracassi had a 124.60 average and 623 total pins for 23rd place.

Mercyhurst took down Penn State Behrend 745-692 to start off the day before falling to Saint Vincent 871- 763. Mercyhurst earned a win over Uruline and then lost to Daemen 805-774. Mercyhurst finished off with a 816-672 victory over Penn State Behrend.

The Lakers are back in action March 1-2 when it travels to the Hawks Flight Invite in Hamilton Township, NJ.
