Women’s Bowling Set for Brunswick Spring Classic

2/21/2025 12:00:00 PM

Erie, Pa.- The Mercyhurst Women's Bowling team is getting ready to take part in the Brunswick Spring Classic this weekend. The event is their last competition until mid-March and they'll be looking to create some momentum that they can carry into the finals weeks of the season.

On the Hardwood:
The Lakers clinched the No. 3 seed in the NEC Championship that takes place at the end of March last week at the second NEC meet of the season. This was thanks to some stellar play from their top performers. Nikki Lemponen led the way for Mercyhurst as she finished in eighth place at the meet with 186.5 average. Delaney Whitehead wasn't far behind as she averaged 182.33 at the event. The duo has each received some accolades due to their play in the last couple competitions as each has grabbed an NEC Prime Performer award. They'll look to replicate that success as they make the trip to Brunswick Spring Classic.

Next Tournament:
The action will kick off tomorrow as the Lakers will make the trip to Kenmore, NY. to participate in the Brunswick Spring Classic hosted by Niagara.
