WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Mercyhurst men's hockey team fell 4-0 to host Holy Cross Friday night in Atlantic Hockey action at the Hart Center. 

The Crusaders struck first with an Erkka Vanska goal at the 8:49 mark of the first. Dalton Skelly extended the lead at the 11:13 point of the first. 

The Crusaders scored twice on the power play in the second period to set the final. 

Mercyhurst tallied 23 shots on goal on the night. Joseph Maziarz led the Lakers in shots with four. 

Garrett Metcalf made 31 saves and took the loss in net for Mercyhurst. 

The Lakers and Crusaders wrap up their weekend series on Saturday. Puck drop is slated for 7:05 p.m. at the Hart Center.
