ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's hockey team dropped a 5-1 decision to Robert Morris Saturday night at Colonial Arena.
Robert Morris got on the board first with a goal by Sean Giles 6:37 into the first. The Colonials would carry that lead into the break.
Steven Ipri knotted the score with a four-on-four tally 2:57 into the second, but Robert Morris would answer back with a pair of goals to grab a 3-1 lead after two periods.
Nick Prkusic made it 4-1 with 9:29 left in the third and the Colonials would add an empty netter to set the final.
Dalton Hunter paced the Laker offense with five shots on goal.
Josh McDougall picked up a helper on the Ipri tally.
Garrett Metcalf started between the pipes and making 19 saves before exiting the game with an apparent injury.
Colin DeAugustine took the loss in net making 23 saves.
The Lakers are back in action on Friday when they host Bentley at 7:05 p.m. inside the Mercyhurst Ice Center. Fans can still purchase tickets by clicking here or at the Ice Center 90 minutes prior to puck drop.
