ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst women's soccer team fell 2-1 in overtime to Slippery Rock during Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saturday at Saxon Stadium.

Beata Sundling recorded the lone assist for Mercyhurst (2-1-1, 1-1).
During the 52nd minute, Sundling passed the ball up to Otto, who bounced it over Slippery Rock goalkeeper Emma Yoder and into the net to get the Lakers on the board first.
Slippery Rock (5-1, 4-0) tied it up 1-1 in the 87th minute with a goal from Tyler Spence.
During overtime, Rachel Edge split the defense and scored in the bottom left corner of the net to give The Rock a 2-1 win.
In net,
Vilde Wold made six saves for Mercyhurst while York made one save for Slippery Rock.
Slippery Rock held a 6-1 edge in corner kicks and a 16-7 advantage in shots.
Mercyhurst is back in action at Edinboro on Sept. 23 at 6:00 p.m. for its makeup game from Sept. 11.
