Summer-Rae Dobson scored the overtime goal as the Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team won 3-2 in overtime against the Rochester Institute of Technology during College Hockey America action on Saturday.

At 6:58 of the first period, Vasko scored her first goal of the day to get the Lakers on the board first. Nuutinen and Pinto had assists.

RIT then scored two goals to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission. Marchese tied the game on the power play before Barnett gave the Tigers the lead.Â

After a scoreless second period, Vasko scored her second goal of the game to tie it back up at 2-2. Knott and Nelles picked up assists.

With 1:27 left in overtime, Dobson scored her sixth goal of the season to give Mercyhurst a 3-2 win. Thiessen and Tanskanen picked up assists.

Mercyhurst went 0-for-4 on the power play while RIT finished 1-for-5.

Sarah McDonnell made 15 saves in net for the Lakers while Terra Lanteigne stopped 40 shots for RIT.
