Box Score WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team tied Army West Point, 1-1, in Atlantic Hockey action on Friday.
Joseph Duszak scored the lone goal for the Lakers (13-14-4, 11-9-3). He received assists from
Joshua Lammon and
Tommaso Bucci.
Colin Bilek had Army's goal, giving the Black Knights a 1-0 lead in the first period. The power-play score was assisted by Dalton MacAfee and Zach Evancho.
Duszak evened the score in the second period at even strength.
Stefano Cantali was the MU goaltender, totaling 27 saves. Matt Penta had 26 stops for West Point.
With the tie, the Lakers remain in fifth place in the conference standings -- two points behind third-place tied teams Air Force and RIT and one point ahead of sixth-place Sacred Heart.
The same two teams will meet again at Army on Saturday, beginning at 7:05 p.m.
