LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Redshirt junior
Jacob Robb was named PSAC Wrestler of the Week announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Robb topped three nationally ranked wrestlers on his way to a 5-0 showing and individual championship at the 41st Annual Midwest Classic.
In the opening match, Robb tallied a first period pin before using an 11-1 major decision to advance to the quarterfinals.
Robb needed just 34 seconds to score the fall over No. 9 Ramon Correa of Coker and move on to day two and the semifinals.
On Sunday, Robb faced off with Colorado School of Mines' Weston Hunt. Robb advanced to the finals with a 5-2 decision over Hunt.
In the finals, Robb scored an escape and then rode out No. 3 Courvoisier Morrow to earn the 2-0 victory.
This marks the second time this season that Robb has claimed PSAC Wrestler of the Week honors.
The Lakers are back in action on Jan. 10 when they travel to the National Wrestling Coaches Association Duals in Louisville, Ky.
