ERIE, Pa. – Lauren Casey scored while Vilde Wold made one save as the Mercyhurst women's soccer team defeated Clarion 1-0 during Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saturday at Saxon Stadium.
 
Casey scored the lone goal of the game during the 43rd minute of play. She slotted in at the right post from the left wing.

This marks Wold's ninth shutout of the season.
 
Brigid Stremel made 12 saves in net for Clarion (4-11-1, 3-10-1 PSAC).
 
Mercyhurst (9-5-2, 8-5-1 PSAC) held a 13-1 shots on goal advantage and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.
 
The Lakers are back in action for their last home game of the regular season on Nov. 6 at 3:00 p.m. on the Mercyhurst Soccer Field when they host IUP.
