Robillard Records Hat Trick, Women's Ice Hockey Sweeps Lindenwood with 7-2 Win

ERIE, Pa. – Michele Robillard scored a hat trick as the Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team finished it's sweep of College Hockey America opponent Lindenwood with a 7-2 win on Saturday at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
 
Emma Nuutinen scored two goals and had two assists while Sam Isbell had one goal and two assists. Rachel Marmen also scored for the Lakers. K.K. Thiessen, Summer-Rae Dobson and Maggie Knott had two assists while single assists were credited to Emily Pinto, Jordan Mortlock and Sarah Nelles for Mercyhurst (7-2-1, 4-0-0).
 
Maddison Stitt and Cierra Paisley scored for Lindenwood.
 
A little over seven minutes into the first period, Nuutinen got the Lakers on the board first with assists from Isbell and Thiessen on the power play.
 
Six minutes later, Isbell scored on the power play to make it 2-0 Lakers. Dobson and Thiessen had assists.
 
Robillard scored her first goal of the day with less than two minutes to go in the first period. Knott and Dobson picked up assists.
 
Lindenwood got on the board seven seconds into the second period to make it 3-1.
 
Mercyhurst then scored three goals in less than four minutes to take a 6-1 lead.
 
Marmen scored her first goal of the season with help from Pinto and Knott to extend the Lakers' lead to 4-1.
 
Robillard then scored her second of the night with assists from Nuutinen and Blair, giving Mercyhurst a 5-1 lead.
 
Nuutinen picked up her second of the night to make it 6-1 with help from Isbell and Nelles.
 
While on the power play, Robillard finished off her hat trick to finished off the scoring for the Lakers. Nuutinen and Mortlock had assists.
 
Lindenwood scored the lone goal of the third period to end the game at 7-2.
 
Kennedy Blair made nine saves in net before Jenna Silvonen came in and made four saves for the Lakers.
 
Annika Asplundh had nine saves before Lauren Hennessey made 14 saves for Lindenwood.
 
The Lakers went 3-for-6 on the power play while Lindenwood was 0-for-2.
 
The Lakers have a weekend off before heading to Clarkson on Nov. 15-16. Puck drops at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
