Women's Ice Hockey Falls 4-1 to No. 5 Clarkson

Box Score POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team fell 4-1 to fifth ranked Clarkson during non-conference action on Friday.
 
Michele Robillard scored the lone goal for Mercyhurst (7-3-1, 4-0-0).
 
After a scoreless first period, Robillard scored a little over one minute into the second period to give Mercyhurst a 1-0 lead. Robillard took the puck in alone and found the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season.
 
Clarkson then scored two goals to make take the lead 2-1. Giguere scored shorthanded to tie the game before Friesen scored for a 2-1 lead.
 
During the third period Giguere scored her second of the game to make it 3-1 Golden Knights before Friesen scored her second of the night to give Clarkson a 4-1 win.
 
Kennedy Blair made 33 saves in net for the Lakers while Marie-Pier Coulombe made 20 saves for the Golden Knights.
 
Mercyhurst went 0-for-4 on the power play while Clarkson was 0-for-7.
 
Both teams are back in action on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
