WALTHAM, Mass. -- The Mercyhurst men's hockey team scored four times on the power play to earn a 4-3 victory over host Bentley Friday night in the Lakers Atlantic Hockey opener.

Khristian Acosta from behind taking a five-minute major penalty and putting the Lakers on the man-advantage.
Owen Norton evened the score with 50 seconds left when a carom off the back boards went in off of goaltender Aiden Pelino.
Bentley took another penalty with 27 seconds left in regulation giving Mercyhurst a 5-on-3 that extended into overtime.
James Anderson wasted no time netting the game-winner just 30 seconds into overtime.
The Falcons struck first at the 12:48 mark with a power play tally by Ryner Gorowsky.
Joseph Maziarz knotted the game at 1-1 when walked in and wired a wrister to the back of the net for a power play goal, the first of his collegiate career at 18:29.
The Falcons answered 17 seconds later with a goal by Luke Santerno to go back up 2-1. Joe Winkelmann extended the advantage to 3-1 with his tally at the 10:06 mark of the second.
Steven Ipri pulled the Lakers back within one, 3-2, with a power play tally of his own at the 7:06 mark of the third.
Ipri tallied two points on his goal and an assist.
Dalton Hunter continued his solid play picking up a pair of helpers including an assist on the game winner.
Stefano Cantali picked up the win, his first of the season, making 28 saves for the Lakers.
The Lakers and Falcons will wrap up their Atlantic Hockey series on Saturday. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at the Bentley Arena.
