Second That: The Lakers have been most productive in the second quarter outscoring opponents 49-13 in quarter number two. Â Mercyhurst scored a season high 21 points in the second quarter two weeks ago at Bloomsburg.
All Purpose Back: Redshirt junior
Garrett Owens leads the team in all-purpose yards averaging 122 yards per game. He has 282 on the ground and 151 receiving, including a season high five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown receiving. In seven career games when Owens has surpassed 100 yards rushing, Mercyhurst is 6-1.
Records were Meant to be Broken: Senior quarterback
Doug Altavilla is just 54 yards from becoming the Lakers all-time leader in total offense. The current record is held by Matt Kissell with 7,087 total yards. Earlier this season, Altavilla became Mercyhurst's all-time leading passer. He currently has 7,131 yards through the air after 192 against IUP.Â
Takeaways: The Laker defense has forced seven turnovers through four games. In 2018, Mercyhurst took the ball away 13 times total. The Lakers have forced seven fumbles in 2019 and recovered five after falling on just four of the 14 they forced in 2018. The Rock has committed zero turnovers this season.

Austin Hence leads the Laker receiving corps with 11 catches for 190 yards and two scores.
