GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's soccer team rallied for a 3-1 win over Seton Hill during Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Wednesday.
Maya Bauer and
Alyssa Otto both scored two goals for Mercyhurst (8-5-2, 7-5-1 PSAC).
Seton Hill got on the board first during the 21st minute of action.
Mercyhurst came back with four unanswered goals to win 2-1.
During the first half, Bauer tied the game at 1-1 in the 26th minute.
Lauren Casey took a shot and it was deflected to Bauer who beat Seton Hill goalkeeper Elyza Pilatowski to the lower right corner.
Otto then gave the Lakers their first lead of the game in the 51st minute of action.
Cristy Senskey passed it over to Otto for the 2-on-1 with the goalkeeper for Otto to tap it in the net.
Bauer tallied her second of the day at 88:20 on the penalty kick goal.
Otto ended off the scoring for the game in the last minute of play with a thru ball behind the defense from Casey. Otto beat Pilatowski to the right corner for her second of the day.
Vilde Wold made three saves for Mercyhurst while Pilatowski made eight saves for Seton Hill.
The Lakers held a 12-4 edge in shots on goal while Seton Hill had a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Mercyhurst is back in action on Nov. 2 when it hosts Clarion at Saxon Stadium at 5:00 p.m.
