Women's Soccer Wins 2-0 over UPJ on Senior Day

 ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's soccer team defeated Pittsburgh Johnstown 2-0 on Saturday during Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saxon Stadium.
 
The Lakers scored two goals in 1:06 to earn the 2-0 win. Lauren Casey got the Lakers on the board with help from Alyssa Otto, as she shot it off the crossbar and in.
 
Amber Thompson then shot the ball to the lower right corner to give Mercyhurst a 2-0 lead and eventual win.
 
Vilde Wold made four saves in the shuout for Mercyhurst.
 
Maria Mosquera made five saves in net for UPJ.
 
Mercyhurst held a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal and a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
 
The Lakers are back in action on Oct. 30 when they travel to Seton Hill at 1:30 pm
