ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team shutout Lindenwood 2-0 during College Hockey America action on Friday at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
Megan Korzack recorded a goal and an assist while
Sam Isbell tallied the Lakers other goal.
Michele Robillard,
Liliane Perreault and
Maggie Knott had assists for Mercyhurst (10-10-3, 7-3-0).
Sarah McDonnell was perfect in net with 24 saves, tallying her fifth shutout of the season and 13th of her career.
After a scoreless first period, Korzack scored her second goal of the season at 13:22 of the second period. Robillard and Perreault added assists.
Isbell gave the Lakers an eventual 2-0 win at 14:14 of the third period with helpers from Knott and Korzack.
Sophie Wolf made 14 saves in net for Lindenwood (5-16-2, 1-9-1).
The Lakers went 0-for-3 on the power play while the Lions were 0-for-8.
Both teams are back in action on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
