Women's Soccer Rallies Late for 1-0 Win Against Pittsburgh-Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Maya Fanazini scored a goal while winning goalie Vilde Wold picked up her fourth clean sheet of the season as the Mercyhurst women's soccer team defeated PSAC opponent Pittsburg-Johnstown 1-0 on Sunday.
 
Fanazini scored the lone goal of the game during the 80th minute to improve the Lakers' record to 4-3-1, 2-3-1 PSAC.
 
Wold made eight saves in goal for the Lakers.
 
Leigh Appolonia made three saves for Pitt-Johnstown (3-5-0, 3-4-0 PSAC).
 
The Mountain Cats held a 15-8 shot advantage and a 5-3 edge in corner kicks over the Lakers.
 
Mercyhurst is back in action when it hosts Edinboro on Sept. 26 at 1:30 p.m.
