Field Hockey Suffers 2-1 Loss to Mansfield

ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's field hockey team suffered a 2-1 loss during a non-conference matchup with Mansfield on Wednesday at Tullio Field.
 
Alexis Skibitsky scored the lone Laker goal. Goalie Victoria Triaga made five saves for Mercyhurst (1-3).
 
Skibitsky scored in the 39th minute before Mansfield (4-1) scored two unanswered goals.
 
Larissa Motts scored in the 43rd minute with an assist by Emily Sadowski to tie the game.
 
Dana Evans recorded the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute and the Mounties held on from there.
 
Brittany Ryan made one save in net for Mansfield.
 
The Mounties outshot the Lakers, 14-5.
 
Mercyhurst is back in action on Saturday when it travels to East Stroudsburg. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
