Alex Garcia Piles and
Mats Kreek each scored a goal to help the Mercyhurst men's soccer rally to a 2-2 draw against {PSAC opponent Seton Hill on Wednesday at the Mercyhurst Soccer Field.
Trailing 2-0, the Lakers (2-1-1, 1-0-0) tallied two second-half goals. Piles picked up his first goal of the season in the 72nd minute with an assist from
Ian Harris. Then, during the 81st, Kreek tied the game with his first goal of the season. He was assisted by
Henri Tophoven.
Seton Hill (2-0-2)had scored two goals -- once in the first half and then in the second -- to take a 2-0 lead. Henrik Berg scored in the 42nd minute while Ollie Baggett added to the Griffins score during the 53rd. Alex Dyson and John Trollsas added assists.
Martin Jarc made seven saves for the Mercyhurst while Austin Iddon had16 saves for Seton Hill.
The Lakers will be back in action on Sept. 15 at West Chester. The PSAC matchup is set for a 2:30 p.m. start time.
