WEST CHESTER, Pa. –
Hady Sarr scored two goals for the Mercyhurst men's soccer team as it played to a 2-2 tie against PSAC opponent West Chester on Saturday.
Sarr gave Mercyhurst (2-1-2, 0-0-2) an early 1-0 lead, scoring in the 12th minute with an assist from
Chris Lund.
In the 65th, Kyle Hoops scored on a penalty kick for West Chester (2-1-2, 1-0-1) to tie the game, 1-1.
Sarr earned the Lakers' lead back in the 73rd minute with his second goal of the game, which was assisted by
Connor Wilkinson.
One minute and sixteen seconds later, Jason Pixley scored for the Rams' to tie the game and eventually send it into double overtime.
Martin Jarc made two saves in net for the Lakers while Will Marshall had eight saves for the Rams.
Mercyhurst had a 15-12 shot advantage over West Chester and a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
The Lakers are back in action on Sept. 21 against PSAC opponent Bloomsburg. The home game will start at 1:30 p.m.
