WHEELING, W. Va. -- The Mercyhurst women's soccer team earned a 4-0 victory over Wheeling Jesuit during Wednesday's non-conference action.

GG Abdalah, Maya Bauer, Amata Valentini and Maya Fanazini had goals. Laia Santos and Maia Russo contributed assists to the Laker effort.

Vilde Wold recorded two saves in goal to record a shutout.

Abdalah scored in the 20th minute and MU led the rest of the way. Valentini's goal in the 41st minute helped the Lakers to a 2-0 halftime lead. Valentini was assisted by Russo.

Fanazini and Bauer had their goals in the 77th and 89th minutes, respectively. Fanazini was assisted by Santos.

Asya Carney had eight saves for Sheeling (0-4)

Mercyhurst (2-2) held a 23-4 shot advantage and 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Lakers will be in action next on Saturday when they visit West Chester for a 12 p.m. start.
