WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's soccer team endured a 4-0 loss to sixth-ranked West Chester in PSAC competition on Saturday.
In goal,
Vilde Wold made eight saves for the Lakers (2-3, 1-3).
Madison Baxter scored the game winner for West Chester (4-0-1, 3-0-1). Kendall Rich had two goals while Deanna Laubach contributed one goal. McKenna Mullin made one save in net before Brooke Myers came in and made three saves for the Rams.
West Chester held a 16-5 shot advantage and a held a 7-0 edge in corner kicks.
Mercyhurst is back in action at the Mercyhurst Soccer Field on Sept. 18, for a 4 p.m. non-conference matchup against Daemen.
