BLAINE, Minn. -- Mercyhurst women's ice hockey goaltender
Kennedy Blair began participation on Friday at USA Hockey's Fourth Annual Goaltending Development Camp, which is taking place at the Schwan Super Rink.
Blair is among 18 goaltenders, including three gold medalists from International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 World Championships Competition. The players range in age from 15-24 and represent 11 different states. Blair is the lone representative from her home state of North Dakota and also the lone rep from College Hockey America.
A native of her state capital, Bismarck, Blair was honored on the CHA All-Rookie Team in 2017-18, and helped the Lakers win the CHA Tournament. With a 0.92 goals-against average in CHA regular-season play, she received the league's Goaltender Trophy at the postseason awards banquet.
On the season, the redshirt-freshman had an 11-8-1 record, 1.57 GAA and .934 save percentage.
